HOW TO STRUCTURE AN EVEN BETTER PORTFOLIO

Create TWO new pages in your navigation. One labeled "Introduction to Cinematography" and one labeled "Cinematography Studio".  Put all of your pages from "Intro To Cinema" class under the new page as "sub-pages". Create the new pages listed below and put them as sub-pages under "Cinema Studio".

Pages You Will Need: (You can add them in "Edit Navigation")

  • Home
  • About Me
  • Production 1: _________
  • Production 2: _________
  • Production 3: _________
  • Midterm
  • Final

Each production page will be named after the sections you have chosen to learn this semester. For example: "Production 1: Lighting/Grip" "Production 2: Directing" "Production 3: Screenwriting"

Here is how each page should be structured:

Home:

Photos of them, movie posters from films you like, etc. Decorate it so I can learn about you!

About Me:

Put photos of yourself, links to any past films you've made, links to trailers of movies that you like, and answer the following questions-

  • Why did you join this class?
  • What do you want to get out of this class?
  • What do you want to know about these new advanced topics?
  • What type of films would you like to make?
  • What motivates you to work hard?
  • List two of your pet peeves.
  • Are you a clean or messy person? Describe.
  • What was your favorite subject in school? Why?
  • Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
  • List one goal for each production for this course.

Production 1-3:

Each production page should have the following "elements" in them, separated and labeled (per week)-

Week 1:

  • Video link
  • Reflection
  • Notes From Unit
  • Vocabulary
  • Movie Review (if applicable)

Week 2:

  • Video link
  • Reflection
  • Notes From Unit
  • Vocabulary
  • Movie Review (if applicable)

Week 3:

You will be creating your own portfolio with notes, movies and explanations of all your adventures this semester.  Look at Arianna Blanchard or Meghan Grip or Noah Armitage  for an example of a strong Portfolio.
