PLUSHIE 2.0

For your next assignment, you will be creating a second plushie film "Plushie 2.0". Take what you did with your first plushie film and improve upon it: add a more complex story (two plushies fall in love, but circumstances keep them apart, a plushie can't type because they have no fingers, etc.) Follow the same instructions for your first plushie film. They are listed below.

Prerequisite: Idea for plush 2.0  film (written up on your portfolio before class starts)

Note: You will NOT be allowed to film your plushie until your submit your idea to Muench

You can make a storyboard or write a story.

  • Take the idea that you came up with over the weekend and implement it. Film your chosen plushie (or plushies) for 15 minutes somewhere on campus. Take this time to experiment with shots, natural lighting techniques, whatever you want. This is to see how much you already know about filmmaking, storytelling, and shot composure (and getting used to using a camera!). Create a short storyboard for your next plushie (take a picture of it and embed it in portfolio with an explanation)
  • Return camera (don't forget to format or initialize the SD card!) and find a computer to get started.Read about the language of storyboards and take notes in your portfolio

Reflection under each Plushie:

Create a new element (text box) on your "Plushie" page under your plush ( and write what you learned about making your first film.

-What did you do well?

-What will you change next time?

-Tell me about your first use of the camera, Final Cut Pro X, exporting, uploading to Vimeo.

-What mistakes did you make?

-Please write a paragraph in complete sentences.

Take time and be specific--I am not a mind-reader and this is the only way that I will know what you can bring to the class and what I can do to help you as your teacher.

Create a Notes section on your Jimdo page. Take notes each day (you can even add date and add notes each day)

Create a Vocabulary section at the bottom the page.
