WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

1    SD Card

2   Canon Vixia

3   Stuffed Animal (Taylor's Plushie)

4   Ideas!

  Take a Plushie and get a Canon Vixia. Film your chosen plushie (or plushies) for 10 minutes somewhere on campus. Take this time to experiment with shots, natural lighting techniques, whatever you want. This is to see how much you already know about filmmaking, storytelling, and shot composure and getting used to using a camera! 

  Return camera and find a computer to get started.

 

How To Create A New Project in Final Cut Pro X:

Open Final Cut Pro X

Go to New > Library and type in your name. 

-Your library is where all of your footage from this semester will be stored. Libraries will break into events. Each project's files will be placed into a new event.

 

Create a new Event in your Library and title it "Plushie"

Take your clips and drag them into the timeline to begin editing.

-Experiment! Add titles, music, credits, color correction, whatever you'd like. This is so you can get used to using the software.

 

How To Export Your Film:

Go to File > Share > Master File

Export as an .mov file. It should already be set without changing any settings.

 

Upload Your Film To Vimeo:

Go to Vimeo.com

Once signed in, click "Upload Video"

Select your plushie film from your folder on the desktop.

Title it "Plushie", and save.Link Plushie Film From Vimeo to Jimdo:

In your own portfolio, create a new element on your "Plushie" page, and embed the link.

 

Reflection:

Create a new element (text box) on your "Plushie" page under your plush ( and write what you learned about making your first film.
